Leave your mark on Fordham, run for USG!
Interested in running for United Student Government, improving the student experience at Rose Hill, and being the change you want to see on campus? Great! Our freshmen election process is now underway, and here is everything you need to know:
Step 1: Download the Packet
Download the Candidate Packet and Election Code (Links to the right).
Step 2: Attend an Info Session
Learn more about the various roles, the election process and timeline, and the rules that pertain to informal campaigning season. While the Info Session is very brief, it will be your opportunity to ask questions about USG elections! All interested candidates must attend an Information Session. If you are unable to attend any of the sessions, please set up a meeting with the Election Commissioner by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Upcoming sessions are:
- Thursday, February 6th at 1:00pm in McGinley 236
- Monday, February 10th at 1:00pm in McGinley 236
- Wednesday, February 12th at 5:00pm in McGinley 236
- Tuesday, February 18th at 4:00pm in McGinley 235
- Thursday, February 20th at 7:00pm in Bepler Commons (1st Floor of Faber)
- Monday, February 24th at 1:00pm in McGinley 236
- Various additional Election Information Sessions will occur in Residence Halls throughout the month of February.

Step 3: Attend a USG Meeting
Attend one of USG‘s weekly senate meetings! All USG Senate meetings are held on Thursdays at 5:30pm in Bepler Commons (Faber Hall) and are open to the public.
Step 4: Complete the Candidate Packet and Attend the Mandatory Meeting
Collect the required number of petition signatures and fill out any of the forms included in your packet. These packets are due on Tuesday, March 3rd at 7:00pm in Bepler Commons (1st Floor of Faber).
Note: The Online Candidate Information Form is to be completed by this meeting.
Also Note: The Candidate Petition of the signatures will be uploaded via this form (follow the instructions in the form).
Step 5: Campaign!
Let your fellow classmates learn your ideas and why they should vote for you.
Senate Debate: All candidates for senate will present their platforms and debate on Tuesday, March 31st at 7:00pm in Bepler Commons.
Executive Debate: All candidates for Cabinet and the Executive Ticket will present their platforms and debate on Wednesday, April 1st at 7:00pm in Bepler Commons.
After the Debates, the pools will open at 9am on April 2nd. Keep campaigning until the polls close at 5pm on Friday, April 3rd!
